A private social-story maker

Story Studio is designed for advocacy, education, community announcements, travel, personal memories and social campaigns. Photos, audio and project data stay in your browser unless you explicitly save or export them.

Multilingual by default

Text layers support automatic, left-to-right and right-to-left direction, including Persian, Arabic, Hebrew, Urdu and mixed-script writing. You may also load a font from your own device for the current session.

How to use: Turn photos into an animated story or reel

Story Studio builds animated slideshows, social reels, stories and GIFs in your browser. You arrange slides, layer photos, text and shapes, animate each element independently with real start and end states, then export as video or GIF — nothing is uploaded.

  1. Start with your canvas: choose where the video will be posted and the shape and quality are set for you — or pick the aspect ratio and resolution yourself. Each resolution explains its trade-off, and “Help me choose” walks you through it.
  2. Use the tool rail down the left edge to switch panels — Uploads to bring in photos, Text and Elements to add layers, Slides to manage your story, Audio for a soundtrack.
  3. Click any element on the canvas to select it. Drag it to move, pull the corner handles to resize (hold Shift to keep its proportions), and use the round handle below it to rotate. Pink guides appear when it lines up with the centre.
  4. With something selected, the toolbar above the canvas changes to match it — font, size, colour and alignment for text; crop, fit and adjustments for photos; fill and border for shapes — plus opacity, duplicate and delete for anything.
  5. Use the filmstrip under the canvas to move between slides, read each one's duration, drag them into a new order, or press + to add another.
  6. Open Animate for any slide or layer to set separate START and END states — anchor, offset, zoom and opacity — then pick a transition between slides.
  7. Export as MP4/WebM video or an animated GIF; encoding runs on your device, so larger projects take longer.

Tip: Everything you need for a layer is in the toolbar directly above the canvas — the side inspector holds the deeper motion controls when you want them. For a classic Ken Burns effect, set start zoom to 100% and end zoom to about 115% with a slight offset.

Story Studio guide

Choose the format first

Select the platform, aspect ratio and resolution at the top. Then drop, paste or select images and choose whether they become slides, layers or a collage.

Crop without destroying

Select a photo, resize its frame, choose Crop to fill, then adjust Crop zoom and horizontal or vertical crop position. The original file is never changed.

Animate from start to end

Every slide and every layer has independent starting and ending focal points, zoom, opacity, fade timing and easing. Quick presets simply fill these controls.

Text across slides

Add as many text layers as needed. A text layer can remain on one slide or span a selected slide range while its motion continues smoothly.

Split layouts

Use Photo + text layout to create overlays or vertical and horizontal split designs. The two layers stay independently editable and animated.

Multilingual text

Use Automatic direction for most writing. Select RTL when a Persian or Arabic paragraph should remain right-aligned. Custom fonts are loaded only for this browser session.

Export

MP4 is used when your browser can record it. Otherwise choose WebM. GIF export is dependency-free but slower and best at 480–720 pixels.
