How to use: Remove hidden metadata before sharing files

Photos and documents carry hidden metadata — camera details, GPS location, edit history. This tool shows you exactly what a file contains and strips it, locally.

  1. Load a file and review the metadata report — you may be surprised what is embedded.
  2. Check GPS coordinates especially: photos from phones often include your exact location.
  3. Strip the metadata with one action.
  4. Download the cleaned file and verify the report now shows it empty.

Tip: Social networks strip some metadata on upload, but files you share directly — email, chat, cloud links — keep everything unless you clean them.

How to use: Encrypt photos so only the key can open them

Encrypt images with a password into a file that is unreadable without it, and decrypt them back — using standard, strong cryptography that runs only on your device. Your files never leave your device. The page itself loads Google Analytics and advertising according to your consent choice.

  1. Choose a photo and a strong password — length beats complexity.
  2. Encrypt: the output file is scrambled data that reveals nothing about the image.
  3. Store or share the encrypted file however you like; without the password it is useless.
  4. To view the photo again, load the encrypted file here and enter the same password.

Tip: There is no recovery if the password is lost — that is the point of real encryption. Store the password in a password manager.

How to use: Verify downloads and archives without installing anything

This tool computes cryptographic checksums (such as SHA-256) for any file and inspects archive contents, entirely in your browser. Use it to confirm that a download matches the hash a website published, or to peek inside an archive before extracting it.

  1. Drop a file onto the page or pick it with the file button.
  2. Choose the hash algorithm you want — SHA-256 is the common choice for verifying downloads.
  3. Wait a moment while the checksum is computed locally; large files take longer.
  4. Compare the result against the hash published by the file's source — even one different character means the file is not identical.
  5. For archives, open the contents view to inspect the file list before you extract anything.

Tip: Checksums prove integrity, not safety: a matching hash means the file was not modified in transit, so always compare against a hash from a source you trust.

Privacy Studio — every file-privacy tool in one private page

Inspect and strip hidden metadata from images, SVG, PDF, MP3 and WAV files; encrypt and decrypt files with a passphrase; and verify checksums and signatures. Everything runs in your browser with no account and nothing uploaded, and your work in each tool is kept while you switch between them.

Metadata & Privacy Cleaner

Inspect and remove hidden metadata from images, SVG files, PDFs, MP3 audio and WAV recordings — EXIF, GPS coordinates, author, software and timestamps — with a before-and-after privacy review. Everything is processed locally.

Photo & Message Encryption

Encrypt a photo or a written message into an encrypted PDF container using AES-256-GCM, entirely in your browser — and decrypt it the same way. The recipient opens it here, not in Acrobat or Preview: this is not standard PDF password encryption, and an ordinary PDF reader cannot decrypt it. Nothing is uploaded and no account is needed.

Archive & Checksum Manager

Create and inspect ZIP archives, extract selected files, calculate secure checksums to verify downloads, and find duplicate files — entirely in your browser.

Privacy

Your files stay on your device. The page itself still loads fonts and anonymous analytics from third-party services, so standard details like your IP address and page URL may be visible to them — as with any website.
