How to use: Convert audio between formats, privately

Convert audio files between common formats such as MP3, WAV, OGG and more without uploading them anywhere — decoding and encoding happen on your own device.

  1. Add one or more audio files by dropping them on the page or using the file picker.
  2. Pick the output format and, where available, the quality or bitrate you want.
  3. Start the conversion and let it run — longer recordings take more time.
  4. Preview the result if you like, then download the converted file.

Tip: Converting from a compressed format to another compressed format re-encodes the audio; keep an original copy if quality matters.

How to use: Trim, adjust and export audio in the browser

  1. Load an audio file; the waveform appears so you can see the whole recording.
  2. Select the region you want to keep or change by dragging on the waveform.
  3. Apply your edit — trim, fade, or gain adjustment — and preview it with the play button.
  4. Repeat until it sounds right, then export in your preferred format.

Tip: Zoom into the waveform for precise cut points; cutting on a quiet spot avoids audible clicks.

Practical local waveform editing

Audio Editor is intended for interviews, voice notes, podcast clips, music excerpts, and audio exported from video. It uses the Web Audio API to decode and process media without uploading the source.

Privacy

Your recordings stay on your device. The page itself still loads fonts and anonymous analytics from third-party services, so standard details like your IP address and page URL may be visible to them — as with any website.
